Executive Team

Drew Rosa is a 5th grade teacher in the district. This is his second year as President of CEA. He took on this role because he believes in the power of people, organizing and unions. His goal is to strengthen the union presence within the district to show solidarity.

Katie has been teaching in the Centennial School District for 11 years, beginning her career as a kindergarten teacher and most recently teaching second grade. She loves teaching because of the meaningful relationships she builds with her students and the positive impact educators can have on their community. She believes that a strong union with engaged members can help schools thrive and improve educational outcomes for students. Katie has served as a building representative for 2 years and is excited to begin the school year as CEA's new treasurer. She is hopeful that her work will help create a stronger environment for students and a better place for educators to teach, grow and support kids. She loves the desert, old trees and eggplant parmesan!

I am Alicia Brown and I am a Learning Specialist at Rosemary Anderson High School. I am the current Treasurer of CEA. All students deserve a quality education in a safe and equitable environment. I am dedicated to making this happen for our students through advocacy and actions. As an association leader, I am able to advocate for students and fellow Educators at the local, state, and national levels. Over the past 10 years I have held multiple Union leadership roles including: CEA President, bargaining team member, building rep, and executive board member. I have also been a delegate for the OEA RA, NEA RA, and Political Action Convention.

Nichola has been teaching music at Centennial for 6 years. This is her second year as a building rep for Parklane. She is excited to join the executive team as the union builds off of the big wins from bargaining last year. She is committed to ensuring clear and consistent communication for union members and community members.

Clarissa has been teaching high school science for 10 years with 8 years working at Centennial High School. After getting involved in union work early with the New Educators of Oregon Network (NEON) program through OEA, she has served as building rep, CEA Vice President, Organizing chair and now serves as membership chair. She is passionate about getting new members connected to the union and supporting early career educators. She lives in SE Portland with her husband and dog, and enjoys the outdoors.

Catherine has been in Centennial for four years and previously worked in Parkrose and Reynolds. She has worked as an ELD teacher at Patrick Lynch and Parklane elementary. She currently teaches ELD at Parklane. She loves doing jigsaw puzzles and taking walks to the park with her wife Lisa and mini goldendoodle Mocha Latte. Her favorite thing about her job is building lasting relationships with students and families. She is excited to build on the momentum of last year’s contract wins as organizing chair. Her favorite union moment was going to the NEA conference in Chicago--learning from the most inspiring educators in the country and eating deep dish pizza for the first time was amazing!

Dr. Amanda Kassab serves as CEA’s Grievance Chair, supporting members as they navigate workplace concerns, contract questions, and the grievance process. With 18 years of experience in education and a background in union leadership, bargaining, conflict resolution, and restorative practices, Amanda is committed to ensuring members feel heard, informed, and supported. She believes every member deserves fair treatment, clear communication, and strong representation.
